did you send this to Joey privately?
In case you have not guess already, PSM is nearly defunct and there
has been little to no activity on the listserv. Nadeem Muaddi is
attempting to restart the coalition.
I made the following proposal nearly two months ago, which no one has moved on yet. If anyone knows of a BDS or grass roots Palestine
conference that fits the description of a tentative conference
identified below, let me know.
You may have received a reply to your e-mail about the doubtful
conference, but I am pretty sure you have not. Right now, there has
not been any activity on over the listserv for months, and thus,
within the orgsesh, there have not been any productive efforts to plan
the next conference. As it is December, I cannot feasibly foresee a
conference in February.
When the current website was lost permanently last month, Fadi,
Nadeem, Abe, Adam and I all discussed the website and the bigger
problem of the lack of initiative in planning the next conference. We
have identified a number of issues, the greater of which is manpower,
none of which have resolved.
Despite our inactivity, there is still organizing, just not as strong
on the collegiate and university level. Aside from the usual players,
Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) groups have started
I proposed financially supporting a BDS conference (or comparable
organizing), if there is one that is planned in the spring, and using
our listservs and contacts to promote and draw a collegiate and
university audience to that conference.
Northeastern University had a small but energizing conference the
weekend before Thanksgiving, and other small groups are organizing,
but we are not plugged in. We need to change that, but at this point,
we are going to have to take a backseat to any large scale conference
in the spring.
Let me know what you think of this proposal.
Fadi is Fadi Kiblawi, wannabe suicide bomber, Nadeem is Nadeem Muaddi, leader of the PSM movement and Temple University student, Adam is Adam Shapiro, co-founder of the ISM and Abe is Abe Greenhouse, an anarchist best known for smashing a pie in the face of Natan Sharansky who teaches seminars at conferences on how to infiltrate Jewish organizations for the ISM in the USA. Profiles of these individuals can be found in our Rogues Gallery section.
In order to keep their subversive activities afloat for terrorist groups overseas, the ISM/PSM is trying to organize an "Israeli Apartheid Week" in New York City modeled after one held in Toronto in 2004 by using the free faciltiies of Columbia University, CUNY and NYU February 12-18. However, those colleges at this time claim they show nothing scheduled. Stop the ISM recommends readers contact those colleges administrations and voice strong objections about even potentially hosting groups that admit they work in support of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the PFLP. THE ISM/PSM is using the names of other groups to mask their intentions. For example, ISM-NY now calls itself the Coalition for Peace and Justice in the Middle East still under the leadership of Patrick Connors to mask ISM-NY's identity as was covered here at Stop the ISM earlier.
The "Israeli Apartheid Week " event is being spearheaded by ISM co-founder Adam Shapiro who has a sinecure with anti-Semite Paul Findley's Committe for the National Interest (CNI) that has enjoyed Saudi financial support in the past and is allied with Stormfront, the American Nazi Party. Shapiro's wife, ISM co-founder Huwaida Arraf also is involved with CNI. Arraf has openly admitted on record the ISM/PSM works in support of and in co-operation with Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the PFLP.
Efforts are still afoot to try and create a later conference this year at Northeastern University, however, anyone interested in combatting this arm of the terrorists in Hamas and the PLO should start now working with Northeastern's administration to prevent this. THeres enough Arab oil money out there to buy them an event like at Georgetown in 2006.
We will continue to update the situation in New York.
